Sawyer Trail is a community inspired by the nature of the Pacific Northwest, with the goal of maximizing open and active spaces. There are over two miles of soft trail and concrete walking paths throughout the sprawling, nearly fifty-acre property. Most existing trees were preserved, creating a lush, forested backdrop for the residences. The smaller shrubs and trees that were removed during construction were converted to woodchips for the walking trails. Sawyer Trail has set design and amenity standards in the area, being the first apartment community of its kind in the greater Frederickson/South Hill submarket.
Originally acquired in 2015, Sawyer Trail was the first multifamily project of its kind in the area, with high-end amenities designed to build community and a relationship with the outdoors. Onsite amenities include two clubhouses, a heated resort-style pool and covered hot tub, a fully-equipped fitness center, reservable indoor and outdoor event spaces, sports court, community garden, playgrounds and dog parks, and a high-tech media room.
